The first time you compete, you think it’s about winning.

You think it’s about medals.
About proving something.
About not messing up.

What I wish I knew back then:

Your first competition is really about learning who you are under pressure.

You will feel nervous.
Your heart will race.
You might forget things you know well.

And that’s normal.

Competing isn’t about being perfect, it’s about showing up anyway.

It teaches you:
• how you handle stress
• how you talk to yourself
• how resilient you are
• and how brave you actually are

The medal is nice.
The lesson is life-changing.

If you’re thinking about competing, you’re already stronger than you think.
